The city of Athens, Ohio tasked MSA to create a new aquatics complex that would serve their community. Located within an existing community park near the recreation center, the new pool allows for future park projects.
Recreation for the Community
The new pool for the City of Athens includes separate leisure and lap/dive pools, two slides, a tot pool, and a splash pad area. A new entry building provides support spaces for administration, restrooms, lockers, storage, and a rentable community room. An additional pool mechanical building is located near the lap/dive pool & includes mechanical space as well as a concessions area, a guard room, and additional restrooms and storage. The project also includes increased parking, plenty of green space & shade.
